By all other measures, the man's a certified genius. You'd think he'd know better...

No news seems to be good news for now. I talked to my dad last night. He was groggy but as good as can be expected. It will be another day or so before we can be sure everything's stabalized, so it's all about waiting.

Here's hoping everything goes well. It's way better to have him around to goof on his stubborn refusal to take care of himself than the alternative.

Many of us hit the snooze button when we get our wake-up call. It's a good that he gets a second chance.

So far so good. White cell count is going down, which is a sign that the infection is going away, as is the return of his appetite. The doctor says the area around the surgery is already beginning to heal, and other than when they change the dressing, he's in no major discomfort. Stuborn twit even managed to get himself out of bed and into a chair without assistance today. The changing of dressings will be an issue though as the amount of pain is requiring adminstration of some drug or another which pretty instantly knocks him out...something he's quickly growing tired of. So we'll see.

Meanwhile, he's trying to figure out a way to read the diabetes literature he's been assigned to say that "17 grapes" can be substituded with "17 creme brulees". :rolleyes:

I just opened my job search email and found a note from the owner of www.sociallyyours.com . She would like for me to come in for an interview next week. I would be doing customer service and order writing. It sounds very interesting. I will also be going to an interview tomorrow for http://www.ppsc.com/ , but I am not sure about it at all.

I just got back from my interview. I guess it webt better than I thought. They want me to go back Monday for a final interview. I was only the 2nd person they asked back.
