Well, I am looking at the calendar, next monday is the only holiday I get until Memorial Day weekend in May. That is very depressing!

I will savor this weekend, for sure. I've got Sweeney Todd and the Mary Blair exhibit on my calendar.

I consider this gap in the holidays as the perfect chance to schedule 'private' holidays for yourself. theyre IMO better than the regularly scheduled kind as they lend themselves well to YOUR schedule instead of the gigantic cluster-f*** public kind.

We have MLK day off then Presidents Day and then Memorial Day.

First time I've had MLK day off. I can't remember if we got Presidents day off in my old company.

We don't get MLK, but I think we get Presidents - basically works out to time off every other month.

My this board is moving slow today... I'm so bored!

I was busy this morning, which was good. Now 3 of my clients are actively looking at homes again, which makes me a happy Goon. Happier still once I get something into escrow. *sigh* But it's a start!

I just got home from a 10:00 Vet appointment that was supposed to be a quick recheck. It wasn't quick and required I take Thurston to an ophthalmologist on Culver City for further evaluation. I still don' know if he's going to be completely ok. But, he now looks like the Pixar Lamp.

:( Cataracts?

He got poked in the eye by an asparagus fern. He's got a gash in his cornea that goes 50% through his cornea. He's on the margin for surgery, but we're going to see how it heals first.

Disneyphile 01-15-2008 03:05 PM

OMG!!! Poor Thurston! :(

(Still catching up on the rest of the thread...)
