1) Sadly, there is still a strong demand (by the paying public) to see more of the ongoing train wreck, and 2) Ms. Spears brings it on herself. If you don't want to be captured doing stupid things, then stop doing stupid things. If you don't want to be in the public eye so much, stop putting yourself in the public eye so much.
Yes, it is a bit of a chicken/egg situation, but she certainly isn't doing her part to help the situation.
Yes, the girl is troubled and needs help. But the adage that "one needs to want to change before change can occur" holds true. Every time I hear something in the news about her, I am saddened.
