Err, that sounds like a load of hooey.

Kevy Baby 01-28-2008 10:59 PM

If it were a "red dress", I might agree

But it sounds like a black dress WITH red.

I think you are okay.

If it was 1969, iI'd caution you against wearing either black or red. Since it's well beyond 1969, I think you're fine.

Mousey Girl 01-29-2008 12:22 AM

I know it sounds petty, but it is the first dress I have bought in a long time.

CoasterMatt 01-29-2008 12:26 AM

nice dress

wendybeth 01-29-2008 12:46 AM

Your dress choice is more than fine, MG- it is entirely appropriate given the time of day and the time of year. (I do tons of weddings and am very up to date on trends and etiquette). I think it will look lovely on you.

Mousey Girl 01-29-2008 12:50 AM

Thank you. I thought it was pretty, and then when everyone started saying I couldn't wear red... I felt horrible.

wendybeth 01-29-2008 12:53 AM

Go, have fun, and it anyone gives you **** tell them you already cleared it with Miss Manners and she told you only a backwoods redneck moron would think it wasn't appropriate.
