Well, yesterday was awesome...

All day, I felt just out-of-whack. My ears were popping, I was stuffy, but I didn't have a headache. Same story today, and I think I'm just finally having a head cold without the headache of actual responsibility beyond finding jobs to apply for and doing some work if I want to. I'm just hoping it doesn't get worse, though the oddness seems more odd today. With a Job Expo (featuring a few employers that I'd love to work with out here) on Friday, I am trying to focus on feeling better so I can brave the awful road conditions out here... which brings me to my next "yesterday rocked" story.

So, last night, J and I had tickets for two Sundance "Best of the Fest" showings. With me not feeling so hot and J being tired for some reason, we were going to give away our tickets for the 9:30 show and just go to the 6:30 show, Captain Abu Raed. (IMDb link here) We were both so excited to see it. Well, on his way home, he had trouble getting off base due to the high winds and icy conditions. After getting off hase, people were sliding all around the roads, making his trip home take even longer. He got home at a time that would have been 'pushing it' had it been great weather. With this unusually crappy weather, it was just too dangerous, and we decided to make it a night at home.

On the bright side, we're safe and I didn't get more sick.

But I wanted to see that movie!

This is always my favorite movie outing, and I heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys animation, has a short attention span, is interested in creative and interesting storytelling, or who just wants to be entertained.

I thoroughly enjoyed my outing when I was in LA for it. Embarcadero Center, a hop skip and jump from me, I'm there! Thanks LSPE!

So, I got the bronchial croup from my office buddy, home today, breathing steam trying to loosen things up. Sigh, 3rd cold in as many months. Bah!

I just signed up for new awesome cheap web hosting for my business that will include dynamic features for my site.

Unfortunately, it takes up to 24 hours to give me access.

Dammit. I wanna play nooooooooooooooow!

I had too much for lunch. But it's been years since I've gone to a Cheesecake Factory (mostly because they tend to be in crowded touristy areas, which Fashion Island is, except for lunchtime on a mid-week day).

Waiter took forever and made me late back though. But the pasta was terrific. And it had bacon.

Well, I can't vote next week. "Those who get to the mailbox before me" decided to toss my booklet with where I need to go to vote. The problem is I don't know if it was under my old addy or the new one or I'd know where to go by checking online.

A friend had a similiar issue a few years ago. She just called the registrar of voters and they could tell her what was on file and where to go.

What county are you in?

I used to work the polling stations (something I got into inadvertently after I was wrongly denied my ability to vote by the people working at my polls). There is a way for you to be able to do it - heck, you can even go to 'not your correct station' and there are ways they can have you vote legally, it's just a bit more complicated than going the 'normal' way.

I wish I could remember how you do it, but there is a way, I'm just pulling a blank on the specifics! Gah!
