Whew! Thank you for posting that!! Now we just have to clean the garage in the event that anything does ever happen.....

The Aussies are just heading back to school...it is their 'fall' time of the year. Trips me out to hear about my friend at the beaches, pool, while back here it is cold!! {no avalanches here, though...}

Brit in a 5150. Hmm. Well, can't she leave if she wants? Even if they have her in there can't she just leave? Unless someone else {maybe in charge of her? I don't know...} signed some papers? The thing is yep, 72 hours isn't enough. If she will stay, and, take the meds they prescribe {which can take up to 2 weeks to work/have effect} and have counseling and therapy, maybe, just maybe that will help. But, she also has to fix things at home, grow up.

I know she is f'd up, I really hope though, for the sake of her mere being a human and the fact she has kids {what a sad legacy to leave for them} this works out.

Went for a walk with my buddy this morning {we've been going for almost two weeks now, I think, if not more, except weekends}. She has problems with her feet and she doesn't move at a very quick pace. I promised I would not kill her, that I will walk slowly up hills and that I will pay attention to her breathing. Well. I noticed that she is not breathing as heavy and we actually arrived home earlier than usual but we left later!!!!

I can't wait to tell her. She will be so happy and I am so proud of her.

Is anyone else here on a weight loss/exercise program with a buddy? I am trying.

Soooo....

MouseWife i am on a diet. Been almost 4 weeks tomorrow actually. No sodas, no fast foods, etc. I've lost some weight and inches off. I need to exercise more though. but hey it's a start. And i don't even crave french fries either. Burgers now and then but the craving will subside. Just the whole warm weather spring then summer and shorts, tank tops, bathing suit. So ya that did motivate me. I admit it i let myself go the past couple of years and wanted to make a change.

She can't leave - the 5150 is a danger to self or others and is signed off on by a judge. She can't be forced to take medication or participate but if she doesn't, they can extend to a 14 day hold where they can forcefully medicate.

On the diet/exercise note -

For the most part I cut out high fructose corn syrup. I do notice a difference in how I feel if I eat something with it in (I look after the fact, not before - it's not a placebo effect).

I'm also back running 4-5 times a week.

I can not wait til April and wearing tank tops and shorts. :) Finally to look good in them for a change. :) Plus my concerts and being up on the side stage i want to look GOOD. I have a friend who said she will take pics of me up there as proof i was that close to the stage (closest i will have ever been) and as a souviner as well. And heck if Jon or Richie come over the better. :)

Even an Australian fall (or winter) is preferable to this. :cheers:

Wendybeth a few Australians were posting on the Bon Jovi fan club board since the guys played there last week and about the nice warm summerlike weather they were having. :) Got me wanting warm summerlike weather here lmao...

Gotta love California. Even with this endless series of storms we've been dealing with lately, we managed to catch a one-day break with lots of sunshine and 62 degree weather. I was in shorts and a tee yesterday, and it was fine.

The avalanches are between me and the in-laws.

Make of that what you will.
