*No insult meant to anybody here who drives either vehicle, there's nothing wrong with stupidity so long as it is congenital and not willful. Plus, while I can think of no valid reason for driving a hummer, maybe these FJs are actually useful off road vehicles so if you actually off road in one you may not actually be stupid. So, if you drive one and don't feel you're stupid just assume I'm excluding you from the stupid group and it'll save us all a lot of emotional frooforah. Plus, even if you're stupid that doesn't mean you aren't a perfectly nice person so long as we don't leave you alone with sharp objects, electrical outlets, and too much time on your hands. But if you're primary use of such vehicles is to transport your 1.7 kids to Macaroni Grill for a 2,300 calorie bowl of spaghetti then I may seek out opportunities to do just that; if I offer you a letter opener and some alone time in my foyer closet you might want to decline.

I like it when the disclaimer is 738% longer than the item it is disclaiming.

But you know, now that I have learned you cannot open the back door without the person in the front seat opening their door, and removing their seat belt, and you are insane enough to take your kids in the backseat to the Macaronia Grill two miles away in an FJ Cruiser,
then you're on your own with Alex.
I wont defend you.

Love ya, Alex.

Well, I have to admit, I have an SUV that does take up too much damn gas. But, it is exactly what we wanted. It is 4WD, we have a Yakima, bike rack, iPod adapter, um, hell, I forget what else BUT it is our car for road trips. We love to go out into the snow but honestly the most off roading we do is at dirt parking lots. I'd love to upgrade to a newer more fuel efficient model but we have all of the bells and whistles for our trips, just want to keep it in good shape. {Oh, and without a new payment, we can afford to take the trips!}

For better gas mileage, we did get the Hubster a nice little Saturn. It has a lot of nice features, and, we use it to save gas on closer trips {like to Disneyland}.

Capt Jack, that is too funny! Exactly!!!

I love the Jeeps, though. Oooo, you guys who love cars, this morning on our walk, we saw a very old Datsun pickup, it was soooo tiny, do not know the year. Right in front of it was a Datsun wagon. Hubster and I went nuts over them, we had a new Datsun, and this one looked way older. Must run since it was parked on a public street, right?

absolutely LOVE the original LC's. was always told early on that if you ever see one by the side of the road, its out of gas as they never break. always remind me of the early dodge powerwagons (that, except for rust, were also virtually indestructable)

Not related to the Super Bowl. ;)

It's just another wedding, but they purchased one of my mid-sized packages, and are paying $250 additional for mileage, so it works. Sadly, the groom got a call from their original videographer just two days ago, stating that he doesn't have any equipment of his own. And, he was charging him $800 just to operate someone else's equipment. :rolleyes: I was like a breath of fresh air to the couple. ;)

So, we're trekking out to Congress, AZ at the buttcrack of dawn tomorrow.

Some nearby friends are putting us up that night, which should be an adventure, because it will be dark when we try to find their place... a 40-acre homestead about 4 miles down some unmarked dirt roads. :eek:

Good luck!

Thanks. We're gonna need it. ;)

I just checked the population of the town we're heading - 1,700.

Awesome. ;)

That's awesome! Just be careful on the roads out there. I've never been to Congress, but I'm not terribly fond of that stretch on the 93 outside of Wickenberg. :eek:
