Can you imagine trying to pee in that turbulence? I hope he was done before it hit!

Holy freakin' cow.

Spoiler:
I just about pooped when the bearded boat man spoke to them from the jungle. Scared the bejeebies out of me.

Was it some sort of truce being struck? If they don't go past that spot in the jungle then they can live without conflict?

I wonder why the others decimated the tail section survivors but seem to be content with the front section survivors.

I thought the other made interesting points - when you are new to someones home, do you eat their food without asking, open doors and go where you don't belong? Interesting.

And what has become of Desmond? Or Rousseau?

Yes, but generally in that case, one has the option of leaving said home.

Yes, what of them. The whole "open doors you shouldn't" line really makes no sense when you think about the fact that Desmond (at this point clearly not one of the Others) was living in there worry-free. I suppose he may have struck some deal with them or something.

He didn't suggest they should.

I don't really see a correlation. From what Desmond said, he was brought there to push the button. All the guy said was they were opening doors they shouldn't - as in they weren't invited.

The thing that didn't make sense to me was that he seemed to think they should have known there were others there. They were there for a few weeks prior to acquiring that knowledge.

Reply to the spoiler above
Spoiler:
This morning I thought to myself "is he talking about the island or the hatch?". If they are the scientists then I think they are probably talking about the hatch.

I don't consider this a spoiler at this point but I'm erring on the side of caution (about Zeke and his group)
Spoiler:
The group Zeke was with look like the people from the video. Alex is there (Danielles kid) too. Perhaps there are two groups of "Others". The scientists and their experiment that went wrong.

More people link theories in spoilers for those who want to avoid them:
Spoiler:
In the photo Desmond is with a dark haired girl. Maybe it's Gaberilla? Who was Jacks wife seeing? Maybe his dad? Maybe one of the Lost Boys?

scaeagles 02-08-2006 11:57 AM

Friendly reminder - new Lost on tonight.

scaeagles 02-08-2006 10:17 PM

Holy freakin' cow. I did not see that coming even though it was right before me with the backstory that was going on.

Spoiler:
Well, the part with Charlie nabbing Sun wasn't right before me, but the whole thing with Sawyer being behind it all. Nothing like the brilliance of a good con.

I love this show. Unlike most TV viewing that is brain dead activity for me, this show......I don't know how to put it, but I find it intellectually stimulating.

Ghoulish Delight 02-09-2006 09:17 AM

Spoiler:
The Charlie thing should also have been obvious...he was the only other thing they showed in the "previously on Lost..." bit. They never show anything that they don't follow through with

Meanwhile...I guess now that Blondie's dead, the writers have no idea what to do with Sayid. He's had all of 5 lines since she then.

scaeagles 02-09-2006 09:33 AM

Does your spoiler mean you had it figured out?

As far as Sayid goes....many characters have had episodes when they aren't heard from, even several in a row. He'll be back. There have been several spans where normal regulars aren't heard from much due to backstories of other characters.

Oh, heck no. But the second I saw him, I immediately realized I should have figured it out (just as I should have figured the rest out).
