He's supposed to be wearing n e-collar but every time we put it on him, he manages to get it off. When I talked to the vet today I told him of the issues we've been having and that we just left the damn thing off of him. He told me that he got out of it 2 times in the 4 hours he was there post-op. I swear that cat has thumbs.

Lisa failed to mention he also does magic - upon getting home and getting the dreaded cone, he vanished under the bed and managed to somehow pull out all the electrical cables in the room plunging it into chaos and darkness. By the time I restored the lights, Buster was sitting on the bed, sans cone - with the cone nowhere in sight.

We have a cat that, because she likes to go outside occasionally, we put a collar on her with an ID tag. We prefer to use collars with elastic to help prevent choking hazards.

She kept it on for maybe .25 seconds.

Since she refused to keep it on, we decided to bite the bullet and get one without the elastic.

She tore that off with a little struggle.

We put it back on tight enough that she wouldn't be able to take it off, with just enough slack so that she didn't choke.

We watched her hurt herself in an effort to get that off.

We gave up: she now wanders without a collar. Though, thankfully, she rarely ventures beyond our patio.

I'm just grateful that Markus is chipped from the shelter. He's found a way to take off every collar we've tried, though we didn't try one of the non-safety versions.

Oh, and he reeks of butt right now for some reason. Ugh.

Nasty.

Hope he's not nuzzling your boobs right now.

Did you pet him too much and make him musk?

I've been fighting off symptoms of a cold and would have loved to stay home to get some rest today. It's the middle of the month and I'm up to date on my work. But the other accountant is out all week so I have to cover some of the things she does first thing in the morning. I didn't mind until today. I now have bits and pieces of her work scattered all over my desk.

Now imagine what would happen if tomorrow you replaced that popcorn with bacon.
