Stop motion animation from 1935

Fischinger is an amazing artist! He was a contemporary of the German Expressionists and his animation is like a Kandinsky painting come to life. He was able to stay in Europe during the war and was able to avoid being lumped into the "Degenerate Art" group of artists who escaped to the US. (I suspect Leni Riefenstahl may have given a free pass to filmmakers.)

After moving to the US, he did some work with Disney (Fantasia).

Another early stop-motion animator, but he used bugs as his models.
