Maddie got her braces off today. It's been three long years.

Oh man, still one of the happiest days of my life. I had them for 5+ years, it was amazing to finally be free of them.

Do they still forbid the eating of corn on the cob, ribs on the bone, et. al. while wearing braces, or has technology progressed? If so, I hope she enjoys her first meal (if her diet allows her any of the braces-forbidden foods that is)

She's off to drown herself in a vat of popcorn followed by a pound of Laffy Taffy. She had these on for three. She previously had an expander, braces and retainer for phase one. So basically she's had hardware in her mouth since first grade.

Sounds like pretty much the same plan I was on (except replace expander with neck gear). Glad to hear she's getting a proper binge!
