Totally. I didn't mean to imply it was just LoT.

Our shelters run specials on black cats. I have a couple of them and think they are wonderful. I really don't think their color makes a difference but all my black cats are the most lovable and loyal of the bunch. Of course their not the brightest of the bunch either but I love them anyway;)

I'm a freak- but can't say why.

Sigh- secret freak.

Great... I now have Rick James stuck in my head, 'She's a secret freak, she's secret freaky...yow."

An expression of intelligence differences based on color? Now you'll never get to be the president of Harvard.

All of my black cats have been more skittish than the others. I have a few clients who have lovable black cats, but not many. Now, my Orange Boys are the lovers and most orange boys I've met tend to be complete love bugs. As a result, I tent to classify black cats as generally more stealthy and unsocial and the orange boys and the most friendly. I even recommended a client get an orange boy because he wanted a lovable cat. He got what he wanted in Butterfinger. Now, I need to steal him.:D

I have 3 black cats. Two are sisters and are very standoffish and shy, tending to spend time in closets and hidey-holes around the house and only come out when the daycare kids have gone home (and who can blame them??). The third one, Sambo, was a store cat at a local pet store. He's totally social and wants to love everyone. Unfortunately he's huge and not necessarily welcome on your lap. You swear he's leaving bruises as he walks across you. He also likes to lay on any papers, including the kids' homework, making for some rather interesting conversations.

Every black cat I ever had was cool and dignified, which I love. One cat, Yogi, was the neighborhood badass. He actually beat up an English Sheepdog that was notorious for killing kitties, and that dog never came near our home again.

Having nothing to do with anything above

I was just reminded of this gem:

We have a couple black cats in the neighborhood, but they mostly slink around. The local badass is actually a grey cat with white paws. I call him Obnoxious Cat. His real name is "Kitty". Seriously. This cat lives with an Eskimo (the dog I call "Window Dog"), so he fears no doggy. Even Barnum backs down from this cat because he just sits there staring and refuses to be intimidated by any damn dog (especially one who, like Barnum, is smaller than he is)
