So today I learned about the awesomeness that is manzanita branches. We found this place near the LA Flower Market where this guy makes freaking amazing centerpieces with them. Literally cements the branch onto a wood base, then glues flowers, moss, hangs crystals, etc. on it. I guess it's all the rage in decorator circles. I haven't found anything online that even touches this guy's work though.

Oh, and the fabric sellers in the fabric district must be getting hungry. I mean, they never lacked for assertiveness, but these days you just wouldn't believe how aggressively they try to sell you cloth! Quite unpleasant, actually.

My glow poi arrived from New Zealand today. They're totally awesome!

But, Ken wouldn't let me try 'em out in the living room. :(

We have both furniture and lights, the idea of DP swinging hard plastic balls at break neck speed in close proximity to both is not terribly appealing.

At least she's practicing with the glow ones, and not fire :D

So I'm watching Xanadu, and something just occurred to me, well, two things actually:

1. The lead guy in this movie looks like Heath Ledger
2. Olivia Newton John has CANKLES!
