Is this day over yet?

Not Afraid 03-08-2008 10:27 PM

Almost. It's really 10:30 instead of 9:30.

Just spent a much-needed day with my honey at Sea World. :)

We got drenched on Shipwreck Rapids. We saw the cute otters and spent some time with the sea turtles. We watched the Pets Rule show and laughed at the "trained" cats. I also took a gazillion photos of sea lions. And we rocked out to Shamu Rocks after the sun set.

But, the best part of the day, besides some completely uninterrupted quality time with my loving husband - I fed a goose by hand. Ken bought me the bird food pellets, and I reached over to feed this solitary goose that came over to me. She ate very gently, never once snapping me with her beak. It was odd, because geese are normally so moody and territorial, but this one seemed to really like me. She even let me stroke the top of her head. :)

Hopefully I'll take some time out from our housekeeping tomorrow and post the pictures. :D

No one in our condo smokes. The people next door smoke. So guess who got the ding letter from the HOA for the cigarette butts that mysteriously appear out front just on our side of the shared wall? These same neighbors have two dogs they keep outside that consider our patio their territory and go berserk every time we step outside. They fit through the hole in the fence that allows our neighbors to access the shared outdoor spigot. If they are ever off leash when I go out, I will get bitten. So guess who got a ding letter for letting that side of the patio get overgrown?

I hate people.

I'm sorry today turned out so icky. On a side note, you came home from work at 9pm?

Disneyphile 03-09-2008 02:30 AM

That was a short and weird earthquake just now.

Apparently there was just a 3.9 in Fontana. We jolted just for a second - felt like something hit the building almost.

An associate of mine is an Arbonne consultant, so I am thinking about having a small (5-6 girls) make-over party one night this spring. She does this great thing with actually teaching women how to apply the make-up (rather than applying it to them), and I can even pick a theme/style. One of her specialties is Audrey Hepburn inspired faces, so I am thinking about showing one of Audrey's films, and all the gals just just relax, play with make-up, and grub on girly things like chocolates, strawberries, etc.

Does that sound like it would be fun?

It does, it does sound fun. Retro makeup is always my favorite. (Retro anything, really, but makeup, indeed.)
