Here's a random wikipedia entry that I found pretty interesting. It was linked off an article about the new $5:

The Old People just received a letter in the mail. She wanted to read it to me. After the first 3 words I yelled, "Nigirian 411 Scam!" She told me to shut up and listen. It is exactly what I thought, luckily they know this. They are just so amused by the whole thing that they can't just let it drop.

Old People are funny.

And much as I VENTED in the Vent thread about too much recent mortatlity, I'd hate to miss news of someone's grief that needs as much hugs and love and possible.

This may be morbid, but do you suppose we need a permanent and general condolences thread?

It doesn't seem morbid, it makes sense to me. I'm also not great about keeping up with the Sooooo thread.

It seems like death is running rampant through here the last few months. :(

The new job stuff is great, but I am terribly sorry for the recent losses.

I too don't follow this thread as much as I should. I hate to miss these events of great importance...whether they be good when someone needs congratulations or bad and a good friend needs big hugs and a shoulder to cry on. It makes me feel guilty.

Elphaba now has a roommate again - she's a ruby-eyed albino "feeder" mouse that we rescued from the store about a half hour ago. We've named her Nessa Rose. :)

She's really adorable, well-bodied, and energetic. She's also very affectionate and let me hold her on the way home. :D

My condolences LSPE.

Posting this from the Detroit airport (DTW) - on my way to North Carolina. Haven't checked in all weekend, so this is the first I'm hearing about LSPE's grandmother. I'm sorry to hear the news - my condolences.

(more about my trip later. maybe.)
