Yeah, we're definitely off the Palm bandwagon. Good software (though nobody's really developing for it very hard) but awful hardware. Mine has been repaired five times now (mostly for issues with the headphone jack but other things as well). Lani's on her second phone.

Lani's hairdresser got a Pre at the same time we did and went through five phones before he bitched and moaned enough that they let her pick a new phone (Evo, I think).

It's such a shame. Maybe when hp relases the webos tablet it'll gain some steam (cnet is talking it up once again) but it's a majorunderdog. Android is great, but there are a handful of thins in webos that I will miss forever.

I still miss graffiti

At work we have a standing monthly meeting for discussing platform support for mobile banking and for people to bring up anything noteworthy in the market. A standing joke at this point is for me to shout out webOS while holding up my phone, when it is asked if there are any new platforms we should support. We all laugh and move on.

I keep reading this as WebO's - like it is a now defunct cereal or child's pasta dish.

After struggling with returning to school, I've succeeded in re-acquiring one of my courses. So 1 class is not bad. Already behind a week but catching up!

Day 2 of new phone, still loving it. But really, WebOS and Android need to mate and have a baby to cross-pollinate some features between them. From WebOS: Gestures, the card view style of multitasking. From Android: Voice search, virtual keyboard with Swype (Swype is AWESOME). Get all of those features into either OS and they'd be perfect.

I received an "on the spot" award today for setting an example for your fellow employees and getting it done. It's not a huge deal in front of the company award but it's sure nice to know people really do appreciate me. Especially after the other BS about not being recognized.

And it came with a $25 gift card to Chilis/OTB/Macaroni Grill/Maggianos.
