Artichokes still on sale. Ate 2 for lunch today, then went to supermarket and bought more. Gonna ride this cheap produce gravy train while it's here! Oh and brussels sprouts seem to be in good shape too.

You know... cooked properly, brussels sprouts can be terrific. But like cabbage, it's hell on earth if you overcook them.

As a kid, I was able to choke down Brussels Sprouts by slathering them in French Dressing - somehow that made them tolerable.

I love 'em. Never had them until I was an adult. I toss a few in the silicone microwave steamer - let them steam for two minutes. A little salt, a little mustard (horseradish mustard is even better). Yum.
