I've been to Katie's Mom's house and I can tell you that the photo diary doesn't do the sheer amount of crapola justice.

The basement is what got me. It is almost paralyzing. I haven't a clue how they'll get through all of the stuff. :eek:

In completely separate news, I just installed a 500 GB drive and 4 GB of RAM in Susan's new notebook. I am currently installing the OS on the new drive and then will start installing apps next.

By buying the drive and RAM from Fry's and installing myself, I not only saved over $100, I also got a bigger HD (the largest available from Apple is 320 GB.

If anyone is interested in a 120 GB SATA 2.5" drive, let me know. Never used.

Is it a laptop drive? If so, I could really use one for my G4 which is currently chugging along on 80GB.

It is a laptop drive, but it is SATA. Check to make sure the G4 is SATA


According to Apple, your G4 uses an Ultra ATA 100 drive. I am not sure if this is the same as an SATA

Loads of snow, and a crappy drive out to my mom's place, where we discovered she'd pulled one last crappy evil act before departing. More details later, but suffice to say grief has been replaced by intense anger and relief that I NEVER have to deal with her again. My mother was truly insane- how we turned out, I'll never know. I feel a very long LJ post coming on.
