A hit-and-run should be covered under you comp. and will not count as against you in terms of any "no claims" status.

Don't think I am going to claim it with the insurance. My deductible is $2k. It won't go on my record because it is being written as not my fault. But the cop said he wouldn't file the report if I didn't want him to. I think it should still be filed, just in case the guy got my number.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.
