I think you would have had to run over the Wolfette to do that. ;)

Yes, your pics are terminal!

Thanks everyone, I'm really happy about this.

No more commute, except on MUNI which is an adventure in itself as my bus home crosses Chinatown and I get to take the Cable Car to work every morning, rain or shine, it's the best.

Yes, I'm like a bad penny turning up, but I was greeted by everyone I know who is still with the firm like the prodigal coming home.

I cannot wait to spend my lunch hours walking along the waterfront! Not to mention the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Plaza on Tuesdays. Acme Bread in the Ferry Building and Boulevard on Steuart (or Spear, I can't remember).

I know that the fantastic location has been a help to me, and it will be even better when my office moves this coming fall. We're moving more 'downtown' and will be closer to the commuter train stop. We'll also be in the more 'cosmopolitan' area, and there will be a lot to see and do within walking distance, plus the gas savings. I'm stoked!

Again, congrats and the new-old job!

I think they did. I ended up leaving work early. Luckily, the most crazy of the bunch had a problem that was actually not my fault, and I could just get the help we needed and set him on the right path - but - he really freaked me out. I'm new... be nice to the new girl, right?

Sorry your day was so bizarre...

I'm increasingly shocked by the writing I see. Luckily, I'll soon be handling much of the copy that comes out of my company, along with my boss, an English major who is buried under a bajillion projects and is stoked to have someone to be able to pass these sorts of projects off to.

BTD's mention of micromanaging was interesting. Depending on the person I find it can be good and/or bad for me. In this case, I think my direct boss and I are on the same page in deciding to create a style guide for copy that comes out of Alsco. We just want consistency, and a platform from which we can just make changes, rather than having to pass things around a hundred times.

I get to make a book! Or a manual... whatever. At any rate, this greatly pleases me.

While I generally prefer to not be micromanaged, the person doing the micromanaging yesterday isn't remotely in my management chain of command. One of the reasons I love my job so much is that I am only person in my department in the state of CA. I'm not even remotely micromanaged.

So far today, this seem pretty normal here (knock on simulated wood-grained plastic laminate).

I'm sitting here working on my class schedule for the NAB conference.

I really want to be in two or three places at the same time.

I need Hermione Granger's time turner, dammit!

Why can't I live in a Harry Potter world?

Today seems a bit strange. I'm feeling out of the loop and generally confused. It's that strange sort of in-between time where projects I'm working on are completed or are waiting on the next phase to take place, and others are so inundated with their own projects that there's not really any time to go over the minutiae.

So, I'm filling my time with learning about territory mapping (in relation to our industry) and trying to more formally educate myself on grammar, rather than relying upon the randomly lucky writing style I've depended on all these years.

I'm seeing The Forbidden Kingdom tonight with "talent" in attendance (not sure who the talent will be, probably the 2nd assistant grip and Coffee PA).

It has been along time since I've been kind of giddy about going to a movie (keep in mind that me giddy shows all the excitement of Steven Wright doing his stand-up). I'll be embargoed from commenting on the movie until it opens next week though.
