I have not seen these in the parks but the pics look really cool. What does one cost?
|
$12 I think.
SuPeR K! was all set to buy a bunch with his Birthday gift card, but ODV does not accept them. The nebuloons are kinda neat one by one, but as anyone who's seen them knows - the Nebula effect is achieved only with a bunch. Keith was stymied in the only attempt I've heard of to buy a bunch. And Disneyland sucks for not letting him use his merchandise gift card on that merchandise for sale in the Park. |
ODV vendors aren't exactly carrying around a POS register.
In other news, I hear that you can actually replace the batteries in the light :) iSm: have you guys run a search for balloon lights online? Maybe you can make your own nebuloons! |
Let's see, there are:
balloonbrites And also: The webpage that may give you an epiliptic convulsion As well as: And how can you ignore NIGHT-MAGIC |
This seems like a good thread for Nebulas in action!
|
Some of them go for $18, but I don't know the difference.
|
Interesting, I wonder what percentage of people simply don't carry that much in cash and are turned away. We get that a lot at the library.
Wonder if they'll actually bring the price down. |
If only they accepted cards... Mobile POS card reader / receipt printers exist.

DL would be the obvious place for this technology. |
Especially since, as you wisely pointed out, nowadays a lot of people don't carry around the wad of cash necessary to buy those nebuloons. If I myself had two kids who each wanted one, I would not have the cash to buy them. I simply don't carry that much cash anymore in a world where everything is paid by some card or other.
Loss of revenue? Not a Disney virtue! |
