Eh, give it a couple more weeks and the novelty will wear off. You will soon come to discovered what a time and money suck the little parasite truly is.

Hmmm.... if I could only go on one day, it would be Sunday. The headliners are cool and all (I have tix to see Pavement in NYC in September), but Gary Numan! Charlotte Gainsbourg! Talvin Singh! Gil Scott-Heron! What's the word?

Jay-Z? Seriously?

You know, Friday is the only day that's really pulling at me. Grizzly Bear, Passion Pit, Fever Ray, Yeasayer, The Specials, Little Dragon. At risk of getting a glare from CP when she wakes up and sees this - Theo should be babysittable by April, I'm seriously tempted to hand him over for the day.

Ugh, then I noticed Edward Sharp on Saturday. I've been dying to see them live. And seeing MGMT again would be awesome. And of course Gorilla on Sunday, and I see that Infected Mushroom finally made it past the rumor stage. So no doubt it will be another great full weekend. But Friday is, fo me, the definite standout if I have to (get to) pick one day.

eta: oooh, Miike Snow and King Kahn on Sunday. Man, Theo's lucky I love him so much.

ETA more: What's with the ???? after Thom Yorke? Does that mean he's questionable? That it might or might not be Radiohead or just him? What gives?

Friday line-up is the most tempting, but I'm still stuck in the same place I always am: There are few acts I really want to see and I'd rather see them in a small venue individually. Was bummed when I realized I missed Florence + the Machine in L.A. recently.

Passion Pit is GREAT live, btw.

The last time I saw Faith No More was the same year I won a trip to Australia. I'd like to see them again.

Unfortunately it seems that new for this year, they will not sell single day tickets, except for the day of the event at the box-office. We'll see if that stands, but if it does it may just prevent me from going.

I really would love to see Charlotte Gainsbourg and Talvin Singh

I'm guessing the presence of DEVO on Saturday the 17th will seal your determination to attend?

Not Afraid 01-19-2010 08:57 PM

Sunday is the day for me. But, no one day tickets? The ONE year I want to go one day and they pull this crap?

€uroMeinke 01-19-2010 09:28 PM

I've seen Devo recently enough that they aren't as much of a Draw for me - but i I were there on Saturday I would certainly catch their set.

I'd go Friday to fill out a long list of bands I never got to see like, Public Image Ltd, Grace Jones, the Specials, and Echo and the Bunnymen. LCD Soundsystem would be fun to see again, and I'd love to see Little Dragon as well.

In the past - day of tickets always were available, so I'm not going to write this one off yet and will probably ask for the surrounding days off just in case I win a contest or something.

There is some weirdness going on at Stubhub. Separate tickets are listed. I'm contacting them.

Yes, we are interested in Friday, and I believe Theo will be able to handle a day with grandparents by then. :)

So, I asked for the days off...
