Only if I can have private time with Ben Browder and Michael Shanks (or if only one is there then that one).

Don't ya just love the airlines?

I booked my flights sometime back,

DC to LAX (for a one day layover :D )
LAX to Reno
and Reno back to DC

Yesterday I was notified of a "Change" in my flights.

LAX-to-Reno was changed from a direct flight landing at around 10:00am to a flight via Seattle arriving in Reno at 5:00pm. But they were proud to point out that the cost had not changed.

Really? I mean really?

Warning, unless your talking about a special buffet just for the event, none of the standard buffets on Reno's "Strip" are noteworthy.

Keep an eye out for Burning Man early arrivers. Though I'm not sure if they'd stick out from SF geeks all that much.

And just for the record, you can drive from LAX to Reno in about 8.5 hours.

Nothing special, just the standard Atlantis buffet. It did get a good rating on Yelp, but I won't expect too much.

Just out of curiosity, what buffet would you rank as noteworthy?

Krafty McNoodle's Füd Funhaus (formerly Charlie Krunkle's Carnival of Calories)
It's just five minutes off of exit 5! Kids under five eat free and they'll have a great time in our play room! Bring grandma and uncle Fergus cause folks over 55 years young get 10% off!

Remember, at Krafty's, it's not all you can eat, it's all you can stand!

In Reno? None of them. The best is a the Sunday morning bruch buffet at Sterling's Steakhouse in the Silver Legacy.

The buffet at the Atlantis is probably the best of the regular dinner buffets, but I was assuming you were down in the casino cluster on Virginia off the freeway (Circus Circus, El Dorado, Silver Legacy, Cal-Neva, Sands, and Harrah's). Among those, The Buffet at the El Dorado is probably the best but it isn't a high bar.

Nothing in Reno close to Spice Market (Planet Hollywood), Le Buffet (Paris), or Wynn Buffet (Wynn) in Vegas.

Ahh, I've visited the Wynn buffet. It was indeed top notch. At the other end the the scale I've also had the buffet at the Trump in Atlantic city, a meal to be feared. As long as the Atlantis is somewhere in the middle I'll be fine.

Thanks for the tips.

Change of plans.

Rather than being in Reno next month for the World Science Fiction Convention, casio action and adequate buffet meals, I will instead be in Cleveland where as far as I can tell they have none of that stuff.
