OMG, my exMIL bought me those exact same pants for Christmas one year , might have been around the mid 80's. It must have been an LA thing because we'd never seen pants like that up here. She said she saw them in a store window and thought of me, Gee thanks!

Evil pointing and laughing aside - most of these are no big deal. I guess they want quantity over "quality". I mean, I get annoyed that people wear velour pjs as if they were outdoor clothing, but it doesn't make for an interesting website.
