For those who owe, you can file now but wait to pay until the 15th |
I'm targeting mid April for completing this one |
I'll be April 14th filing, too. I owe this year and have been saving pennies to pay it off. |
For once, I actually didn't owe money to the feds or the state. My taxes were simple enough that I felt comfortable enough to use the free software from H&R Block, then paid $10 for the state. It was super simple, and probably should have used the free stuff sooner. Got my return about a week or so later. |
Finished in February, earliest ever. Refunds are long deposited. I Turbo Taxed it. Ours aren't complicated enough that I couldn't have done it manually, but they are complicated enough that it would have involved a fair amount of effort to do so, so I was happy to let the software do the work for me. |
We had to mail ours in this year. With unemployment and a change of address, H and R block software wouldn't let us efile. Bah! It's going to take forever and a day to get our refunds. |
I find even with somewhat complex returns - or at least what I consider to be somewhat complex (1035 exchanges this year, self employment income) - the price of the software is WELL worth it. |
Our accountant just finished our return. Between the fed and the state, we're getting back just enough to pay our property tax. Yay? |
Whew- got the forms dropped off so the accountant can e-file. We're later than usual, so I don't know how long it'll take to get the refund. |
I'll give you an advance on your return for just a small one time fee that works out to a 873% APR. If you take me on this it will be my first small step to being a payday lender and finally I'll achieve my goal of being a pimple on the asshole of society. |
