With the ubiquity of Starbucks and similar, even superior, establishments - why must anyone go anywhere else? Have yourself some pastry for lunch to go with your coffee.

You don't know how hard it is not to do this. My chickie works there. My friends always ask me to go for coffee {any location, so many close by}. I have to be strong.

And a pastry? Heck, I would say it is as difficult for me to stay away from the coffee temptation as it is for me to stay away from the great Mexican fast food places around here. These places serve great food.

Oh, actually, I did just come from Starbucks.... :D

I might not like coffee, but Starbucks serves this new Chantico beverage that is like molten brownie. Plus the one across from Sullivan Hall serves TopPot donuts.

I've always had a soft spot for vending machine coffee...

This makes me smile and laugh.

I have always loved coffee from those big silver servers you find at church bingos, potlucks, stuff like that. Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to drink that. Smell it. Even black. I can drink that stuff black. Only that stuff.

I also have a fondness for the vending machine hot cocoa.

And, I just remembered, the Kaiser hospital here in S.D. had a Starbucks' vending machine in its' cafeteria.

Ill take that over any fancy shmancy concotions anyday.

I'm not one for concoctions either. No flavorings or steamed whatever. When I go to a Peet's or someplace good, I just enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a little sugar and a little cream. The only exception is that if I am really dragging, I don't mind a shot of espresso in my coffee. :)

am/pm and 7-Eleven offer decent coffee for a good price. Also, if you mix just the right combination of coffee/cappucino/hot chocolate from the self-service dispensers at either place, it's "almost" like a Starbucks mocha. :coffee:

Has anyone tried the "New Premium Roast Coffee" at McDonald's yet? I've only heard the radio commercials--they're a bit annoying with a fake couple talking about how much they like it.

Yes, we've had Chantico. We saw the ingredients list (had a friend with dietary restrictions, so we needed to check). It's litereally nothing but chocolate, cocoa butter, and sugar. Mmmmm. Oh, and they will give you a venti if you ask! (what? That's only 1600 calories).
