Wander down to Georgetown. It's quite the street party. Last time we went I saw a guy futilely trying to argue with the Police that running through the crowed running his gas powered chain saw was not a problem because he'd removed the chain.

I say "futilely" because he was face down on the street in cuffs and I don't think the officer standing on him was even listening.

You don't need to go all the way to Australia for that!

I've been preparing all my life to be the Gumpy Old Man in the neighborhood.

A noble thing to aspire to, my good sir.

I've never seen a trick or treater here so we stopped being ready just in case.

This year management gave everybody door hangers to use to indicate candy availability (we all have automatic porch lights) but it'll be a long weekend so I don't really want to deal with it anyway.

When we lived in a house in San Dimas, we got lots of trick or treaters. Here in the condo in Brea, we've never had one.

This year, I am flying out to Des Moines, IA on Sunday (leave at 2:00 in the afternoon, arrive at 10:00 in the evening), so nothing for me.
