Reviving this dead thread. My Toshiba tablet is limping along now. Behaving a little like a balky horse some days. Loads of apps just crash, etc. Etc.

Any suggestions for a new one? Should I just go with an iPad? Now that I've got an iPhone (21st century at last) at least that will be seamless. Is the no flash even an issue any longer?

Get an iPad. You know you want to. Is there any other reason more important than that? ;)

No Flash is a rare problem. The few times I still run into this problem hasn't really hindered me at all. The only app that crashes for me is Facebook (I get this on both my iPhone and my iPad). Other than FB crashing and a weird problem with one event in iCalendar (I can't delete a repeating event and I've twice been told that the only way to get rid of it would be to wipe my iPad and reload: I decided dismissing the event every two weeks was easier), I've had no problems with mine (which I've had a little longer than you've had your tablet).

Walmart has a Nextbook for $99 that looks pretty cool. Anyone know anything about it?

If you buy a $99 tablet, you're gonna get a $99 tablet

My Nook does Flash. I hope whichever of them you choose, that it makes you happy. The guys at work all have iPads, but they're all Apple fanboys. Apple would like you to believe that it's the standard, but as far as web surfing, email, FB, and the limited number of apps that I actually use, the Nook is great.
