It also gives you time to figure out what areas you like, schools and such before moving.

Normally you might be worried about a married guy living alone for that long. Fortunately we are talking Vegas and not Orlando or Anaheim so temptations will be at a minimum.

Just FYI - my friend Laurie moved from SoCal to Vegas about the time K moved from Vegas to SoCal. She loves, loves, loves, loves, LOVES it.

It DID take her many months to find a job though. Now she loves it even more!

Seems more and more likely this is going to happen. I've been checking out rental listings and I don't think we'll have a problem finding a nice house to rent - although probably not in a nice rural area on 2 acres like now. I've gotten spoiled by not being surrounded by neighbors on all sides.

You could move into one of the zillion tract house neighborhoods built up where nothing was ever sold. You'd have houses on all sides, but no neighbors!

At first It thought: :snap:

Then I thought:  That might be a little spooky / scary when someone comes along to steel the copper wires or squat in the house.

I hate this in between stuff. I need to know and go! Give him the job with what he's asking for and let's move!

...So I can get rid of this anxiety...
