LOL, that's the first thing I wondered when I saw his name. :)

Gene Hackman is turning over in his....oh wait he's not dead.

Shelly Winters then.

I started to say that Ernest Borgnine was spinning as well. Surprisingly though, he is still around. I was surprised to discover this.

Not only alive but he is still acting and currently filming "Cura del gorilla, La ". :)

He's actually been pretty busy for a man who is 88.

(Sorry for the Borgnine hijack, just can't help myself sometimes)

I think you are thinking of the "AirPORT" movies. Airplane was a spoof of that series and other a host of other things (I just love the prop-driven airplane sound whenever they were shoing people on the jet airplane!).

BTW. This is my FAVORITE site to get info on who is dead and who is not. I't was one of my earliest bookmarks. Is that sick or what?

And why was Kurt Russell on the set? He's not in the movie (at least that I could find).

Jazzman 08-31-2005 11:43 PM

So who's playing Gopher?

That's the burning question.

He's not in the made for TV terrorist lameness movie coming November 2005. He's in the 2006 theater release one, title simply "Poseidon". At least that one doesn't involve terrorist, but the only thing worse than a classic movie needlessly being redone is a classic movie needlessly being redone TWICE! It was only while looking up info on the Kurt Russell one that I stumbled across the made for TV one.
