I downloded the light and Day video and watch it everyday. The music and the excitement of the performers never fails.

There are tons and tons of songs that stir my emotions.

Here's one:
"Defying Gravity" from the 'Wicked' Broadway Musical. Idina Menzel hits a note in this song that seems to me to be to be a difficult one and it's so great to hear her nail it. This song really amps me up.

If you want to get depressed... Willie Nelson is the best.

When I can feel a mental cloud lifting, I hear "Here Comes the Sun" in my head. :) Has happened to me since high school....just happened again the other day when I'd gotten something done on the auction after procrastinating forever.

I think that's a great song. Love it.

"Make Your Kind of Music" by Mama Cass does that for me. Ever since I heard it in the film 'Beautiful Thing'.

Claire~ 'Here Comes The Sun' does that for me, as well. Sometimes it is the Beatles version but sometimes it is George Bensons' version. I heard him play it live at the Greek in L.A. and it totally moved me. As if it were a drug working it's way through my system.

oh that song by Gary Jules; Mad World from Donnie Darko makes me feel misty whenever I hear it.

so, whats polyphonic spree?

I just got 2 cd's recently called music for tv dinners, and music for tv dinners the 60's they are great. Its the background music they used for commercials in the 50's and 60's some of these same tracks were used in the Ren and Stimpy show.

Stairway To Heaven - I know it's corny..but it just soothes me and gets me going at the same time!

Home Sweet Home / Motley Crue - Brings back great memories of high school, friends, spending hours riding around in my car, the radio blaring, looking for someone to go to the liquor store for us! Getting drunk, acting crazy, playing volleyball with my best friends from opposite sides of the busiest street in town. Having some guy I just met throw up in the back seat of my car. :( Tears over some jerk who broke my heart. Too many memories...

I'd have to say that might favorite song for stirring an emotional response is Begin the Beguine. I love that song. It's got a great melody, wonderful lyrics, and it's tropical. What more could I ask for?
