Who says God is the one responsible for the hurricanes?

The thing I could never figure out is when some said that Katrina was Gods revenge against the decadence of the gay festival in NO. The problem being that the hurricane hit the week before the festival was to begin.

It would seem that God has an itchy trigger finger.

One thing the Religious, in particular "Evangelicals', will say is that God has "Punished" us with disasters, AIDS, 9/11 and all sorts of other events.

What i believe is, if God has sent these things, it gives us an oppertunity to show compassion, love, and a chance to extend our hand to help eachother in times of need, suffering and dispair.

Seems they dont understand that point, but would rather celebrate the 'Wrath' with a sadistic smile in their twisted hearts.

It also would seem God missed the French Quarter, doing very little damage there, and instead hitting the poorest of the poor, destroying their neighborhoods. Maybe god IS a Republican!

Hmmm...premature wrath. Maybe God needs to do Kegel exercises?

Just more evidence that god may be, in fact, a republican.
