Just a bit of clarification - these pics are just from the opening party. There's a whole cool set of exhibits inside (some of which will remind you of effects from Adventures through Inner Space) that we only got a taste of last night - you never get to see the Art on opening night.
We still want to have a swank meet sometime in the not to distant future. We'll be missing the DJ, Bar, and - sniff - probably the giant plush snake, but it still promises to be quite a swanking (and we can easily combine it with other Downtown Swank venues). So let's pick a day and plan some fun. |
I'll bring the Pink and White Drugs. ;)

Oh, and to add to what Chris said........
Only MOCA Members were invited to the opening of the exhibition. I now see why that is the case - it was a HUGELY attended event! I think everyone should join MOCA so we can make these fun parties, er, openings, a part of our regular swankings. Think of it as a MOCA AP. ;) Now, we need to go back so we can really see the exhibition. It was packed. We waited about 1/2 hour just to get inside the building. Some of the "environments" had looooong lines just to view.....and there was no Fast Pass. But, what we did see was really fun and interesting. |
Awesomeness! Thanks for the pics!

Awesome, what a tantalizing preview!
I vote for November 5th or 19, just to throw a couple dates out. |
That looks like fun! Make it a Tuesday or a Thursday and I'm in!

D'oh. Disregard my previous vote for dates. I need to learn how to read a calender.
I've just noticed that the museum is open on Sundays. Perhaps a non-hub Sunday meet is in order. |
Just an FYI MOCA is open late on Thursdays and is free in the evening hours.

Ooooooooohhhhhh, sounds like fun!
