Ew. I feel dirty just having read the article.

As I posted on MiceChat, I'm wondering why Disney (ABC) is giving these two idiots a voice? They've been giving a voice to wackos lately on 20/20 (saying Matthew Shepard's murder wasn't due to homophobia) and on The View (having members of Exodus Ministries on). What's point?

Plus, it's fun to point and laugh at wackos.

Pretending they don't exist and that they don't have power just means people are surprised to learn they've been thriving in the shadows.
Better to expose them to light, it won't really make them any stronger and it'll remind us that we're not so enlightened as we'd like to think. |
Heh, was mojoing Alex for the above and hit enter by mistake while typing.
I meant to say, "Agreed!", and I believe that's worth posting here too. |

I dig it. :) |
I think these adorable little racists just need a big hug. From a big black person. To make it all better.
Honestly, I don't know. For as long as the world has been full of diverse people, there have been people who would try to stamp that diversity out. "I'm the BEST! I'm the BEST! And you, who are different, are FILTH!" I've never cared to be the best. I don't understand why it's the goal of any individual or group. I really don't. I feel bad for those kids. If they grow up to embrace their legacy, then I won't feel bad for them, I'll feel disgusted. And that's pretty much how I feel about their parents, their cause, the whole ideology behind fear and hate. There is not evil but that which our fears and misunderstandings create. Understanding-acceptance-love is the way to goodness and happiness. It seems so f&*king simple, really. I'm baffled so many people don't get it. |
So , are they any good?
