Right back at ya.

I will say that as one of the few resident conservatives, and certainly one of the most vocally so, it is nice to be accepted - and perhaps even liked :) - by you liberal freaks.

I have participated in a few internet posting fora (is that the proper plural of forum?), and the size makes it easy to keep up with (I just logged onto mice chat for the first time in a couple months and there were over 148000 new posts - ummmm.....not going be reading them all), and the mixture of interesting people is just perfect.

Long live the LoT.

I have to agree 100% with Moonliner on thsi one. Truly a wonderful place to be. Granted, my visits have been in fits and starts cause I hang here mostly from work and work has left me little time for fun. I hope to rectify this in 2006.

Everyone who put in the long hours for design, maintenance and just the creation of the oasis of swankiness, I'll tip my maroon beret in your direction and toast you all!

Wow, a whole year.

I don't think I'll ever forget the overwhelmeing sense of satisfaction not only when, after a frenzied afternoon and evening, we stepped back and saw that we had created something worthy of unveiling to everyone, but more importantly when all the people that we loved to virtually hang out with actually started to show up. It was a turbulent time, and we felt like we were taking a big risk in shaking things up. But it became almost immediately apparant that it was well worth it.

We may not have the largest membership, and we don't exactly have a frenzy of activity, but what we do have is irreplaceable. Not only a place for us old friends to get away from old drama, but one that's attracted a new bunch of friends as well.

And I'm still having a blast posing as technical guru (vBulletin's such a well put together piece of software that makes things so easy, I sometimes feel guilty taking credit for that...sometimes ;) ). Not to mention the creative outlet that this place has been, both in the design process at the beginning, and in the Open Mic.

Here's hoping that the next year, and the years after, continue to be groovy beyond expectations. Of course, with y'all, I doubt that'll be a problem.
