Jaws (1975) THE shark movie of all time?

wow.....I'm sorta like....y'know....in awe of that. I'd love to see it for the first time again. one of a very small handful of movies Ive seen at least a hundred times and the only movie that ever gave me nightmares. enjoy

Cadaverous Pallor 01-09-2006 10:44 PM

I can't remember seeing Jaws all the way through and barely remember bits of it

Prudence 01-09-2006 10:50 PM

I've never seen even a little bit of Jaws.

Ghoulish Delight 01-09-2006 10:55 PM

Jaws rules.

Prudence 01-10-2006 09:17 PM

Okay, that Jaws does rule. Best movie couple ever.

For you JAWS slackers out there, what are ya waiting for?! It's a great movie, even thirty years later. (Give me a clunky mechanical shark over CGI any day.) For my money, it's Stevie Spielberg's best movie, though some of its best qualities were happy accidents.

By the way, my friend Terry was unable to make it, so we are postponing the viewing for a few more days. I really love watching JAWS with folks who have never seen it.

True of most good movies. The creative process is always aided by limitation. Witness the absolute piles of garbage on George Lucas churns out when he answers to no one and has limitless resources vs. the brilliance he produced under a disappearing budget and technical impossibilities.
