CP~ wanting people to hear what you feel without needing them to fix it, I can not remember where I read that is how women are! Something to the effect of when a woman complains to her husband she doesn't necessarily want him to fix the situation, just to listen.

I don't necessarily say I'm tired, or that something bugs me BUT my husband says I yawn quite loud  and that I scoff too much.

Yes, I hate, too, that I have to bite my tongue. It is hard! But, put it this way, why do I have to do it soo much? That is how I feel. Quit doing things that make me scoff and ignore my yawns and life will be sweet. ;)

:) I really appreciate the reinforcement. I guess it's just one of those things I really have to teach myself. Like flossing consistently. Just another positive thing I'm making myself do (grumble grumble) and immediately feeling better about.

Other than complaining, I'm really good at allowing myself lots of breaks. I'm especially bad with this at home. I'll do 45 min of chores and then spend the rest of the day laying around feeling justified. How do you motivate yourself to keep going while at home? The bed is so tempting...;)

No problem, if you don't express yourself you won't know that it is normal! Only saints don't ever grumble. ;)

Who the heck said I was motivated at home? LOL

Uh, I just got back to my workout schedule. I have to stay motivated to do that by not coming home and just walking from the school. Too easy to come home and get back on here and lounge with the others who can also play. :)

Housework. Well, I also think I have your chore schedule. ;) When I look back at my day and try and think, What have I done today? it just doesn't fill up my day.

But, to motivate me, I first have to put this puppy on sleep. Then, I turn off the t.v. I put on some jumping music very loud, loud enough so that I can hear it all over the house {this brings complaints from anyone here but I tell them 'Hey, I'm cleaning the house! You're not!} and I just get busy. Sure, I get distracted with photo albums, magazines, books, clothes...but I figure I'll get it done eventually.

My bed. Ah, I love my bed. I stay away from it. If I get too close to it, I will crawl under the comforter and go to sleep. If I know I can get away with it, I will, but after I've finished some major chores.

Today I have to make calls and do some work on the computer. No one thinks I do work on here but I do. They get many scoffs from razzing me about that, for sure.

This is exactly how I get things done (when I actually get things done). Turn off the computer and TV, put on loud exciting music, and GO! But if I stop for a "break", it becomes the end of my day.

Yeah, the bed is the worst enemy. Not only is it so easy to just waste away the day, it'll screw up my sleep schedule and I won't be able to get to sleep that night....which leads to napping the next day.

It also means that the hardest room to clean up is the bedroom. ;)

I should touch on this~ do not give up totally on complaining! It is a strength to know what you like, want, etc. And, sometimes, people just don't get the drift until you grumble.

Okay, speaking of chores, I should do something that someone will notice when they get home... ;)

MouseWife 01-24-2005 12:37 PM

Or put on music that is sooo good that I don't want to leave the living room as I am having so much fun dancing.

Oh, my weakness would be naps. I am blessed with kids who never started fires or did anything naughty when I fell asleep. {when they were bigger, when they were small I would nap right along side them...I'd bribe them 'Look, a new Winnie the Pooh video. Hey, come lay down here on my bed, I'll fix up a pillow and here is your blanket....}.

The night sleep issue is a big problem. But, growing up, I always took naps. The trick is not to take one that is too long.

Heehee! Ain't it the truth, ain't it the truth.

Ok, I'm off....perhaps I'll be productive. Perhaps.

MouseWife 01-24-2005 02:45 PM

ha, well, I felt guilty {not something anyone needs but sometimes it does help} and I picked a task and was doing it quite well...until the kids got off of the computer.... :D
