I had a bunch of classic swing, neo swing, rockabilly, and a few old school punk bands in -- and it ocassionally spits out something odd. Like Aerosmith. Or Chicago. Or Phish. Or, saints preserve us, Pat Boone. (From his "metal" album, no less.)

Eeep! Now it just spit out Whitney Houston doing the Star Spangled Banner. That fits in with my selections HOW?!

Okay, I know I should shut up already, but this thing is on a total hilarious tear. Things were going smoothly....some nice Julie London....then I think I hear a familiar tune (volume turned waaaaay down at work) and I check -- yup, Arabian Nights from the Aladdin soundtrack. Okay, not really in genre but I like it anyhow so I let it go. Next up? Thunderball. Yup. Good ol' Tom Jones. And just when I think it can't get any weirder: it's William Shatner reading from Romeo and Juliet.

HEY! You got MY selections! ;)

It's interesting the selections they come up with, and how they tie it all together. Sort of like the stretch stories Casey Kasem used to tell on American Top 40.
I heard one song on there called "Amagamlin Street" and I really want to download it, but I can't find it anywhere! |
I prefer last.fm. Slashdot did a comparsion of last.fm and Pandora if anyone is interested.

I love Pandora. I have discovered many a new song and band there! I definitely recommend it to everyone!
