You know, if society wants women to change their name, shouldn't they make it a bit easier or at least clearer? DAMN!
|
...when you FINALLY get to the office, and then can NOT figure out why something isn't working - and of course, you're under a deadline (After having started working at home at 5 in the morning when you couldn't sleep 'cause you were worrying about getting it all done, not to mention many hours over the weekend spent on it due to a slow as molasses computer)
...when you FINALLY get to go home, and now TWO signals between work and home are not working. (There was only a few weeks when they were all working - this is RIDICULOUS - Katrina was more than 5 months ago!!!) ...and then you get home and realize there is very little food in the house - and all you REALLY want is some WW onion soup from Applebees and one of the WW entrees -- but you know Applebees isn't open on Monday and they don't have a full menu, even if they WERE open. (So you make a batch of soup instead and eat the whole dang thing!) |
...when the one thing you swore you would get done today, gets postponed for a little meeting, that results in some action item, that need your immediate attention, as well as an update on the status on that one thing you were going to get done today.

I'm still in my jammies. I took one look outside, and I knew the potential for 'one of them days' was high.
|
 like when i get up and go into the kitchen and can't remember why when i get there.
|
....or you never have enough staff to make work easier.
...never have enough hours in the day? (I feel like this everyday) |
...when you have a morning to yourself and instead of doing anything of value you sit on your ass and think about doing things. You even had something planned, but you just stare at life and say "eh."
Nothing more depressing than the unwillingness to act. |

I'm feeling better now. I just knew that sharing it would make it all melt away, and I was correct. It was one of the few really positive and pro-active things I did yesterday. I ended the night on a high note, with a "going away party" of sorts for a former manager, now that the rules are out the door in terms of our being able to get blitzed together, I can see myself hanging out with... a LOT. Needless to say, for most of the day, I managed to be Miss Communication. Thank you for sharing your moments with me in kind. Erica |
...when you type a word and it's correct but for some reason it doesn't look like it's spelled right?
...when you say a normal word over and over and it sounds weird? |
