Actually, I believe it was Pluto.

Yes, it was Pluto. That was a horrible accident. If I remember correctly, it happened either backstage or right out of the shoot onto the public viewing area. Traumatizing for all, but especially to kids of there were any witnesses.

the vehicle is an "omnimover" type system (suspended), but the load area uses the "speed ramp" system as seen below in front of the CM.

And their attraction uses the lame, 2-D cardboard system.

I believe that one happened just backstage of the Frontierland parade gate (next to Splash Mtn.). I didn't hear anything about guests seeing it.

The news here is reporting that they couldn't find any information on the park map regarding the moving sidewalk--oh no! How dare they? I bet they don't tell you there's a curb on Main Street, either. Bastards.

WTF? I read it twice and I still can't believe they think that is a reason for anything.

It's just the newsidiots searching for something to report. That way they feel hip and "investigative."

They broke the story first--Disney does not indicate where speedramps are on their park maps.

I feel so informed about what's going on in the world around me now.

New TV show.....DANGER:Speedramps!

When Speedramps Attack!!!

Moonliner 02-15-2006 05:16 PM

I'm sure my number are off but you'll get the idea:

200 Riders/Hour * 14hr/day * 20 Years = 20,440,000 riders

1/20,440,000 = 0.00000004 % of riders get hurt.

Damn that sloppy safety record Disney has.
