That's exactly how I feel about Toy Story. Pure grade A crap!

I've never been impressed with any of Pixar's movie trailers
so I will reserve judgement on Cars til I see it.

Just let us know if you'd like zapp and me to take our perpetual Bug's Life / Toy Story debate off line. :iSm:

Not big on Bugs Life. Of course, I wasn't high on Nemo. I do love all of the other Pixar films - both Toy Story I and II, Incredibles, Monsters Inc.

I can't say that a movie trailer has ever made me want to see a movie, but there are plenty that make me NOT want to see a movie. Like most Pixar movie fans, I'll see Cars no matter what the trailer is like simply because of their track record.

I, for one, would love to hear it. They aren't my favorites. I think I've only seen each once...

LOL!

You're no help! :p

I liked them both. I think I'd probably say I like A Bug's Life better, but that's probably a combination of over-exposure of Toy Story and my affinity for Dave Foley's humor.

I have a hard time ranking Pixar movies because I really do like them all. I can break it down to a few tiers (Nemo and Monster's at the top, Toy Story and Bug's in the middle, and Incredibles and Toy Story 2 at the bottom), but the distance between top and bottom is minimal, and I can never set an order within the tiers (except maybe the bottom tier where Incredibles over Toy Story 2 is pretty solid for me).

And, for the record, I've been more than unimpressed by the trailers for every single one and have ended up enjoying them all. So I'm finally learning my lesson and not making a judgement on Cars (which may, of course, doom Cars to breaking that pattern).

The closet redneck in me can't wait for it to come out. Any movie that has a tow truck voiced by Larry the Cable Guy can't go wrong.

Interesting how taste differs. The Incredibles is at the tippiest top of my Pixar list ... and it was the best picture of 2005, imo.

Toy Story follows right on its heels, in my personal ranking. A classic buddy story that tops anything else in that genre, imo. Hysterical performances by leads Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, ditto for every supporting character, plus brilliant writing and story construction. I could go on and on, but I'll let its vast popularity speak for itself (note that it's the only Pixar film to have yet rated a sequel). I also love Toy Story because - despite it being about toys - there's no kids as main characters. (Hmm, I guess the same can be said of my much despised Bug's Life.

Next it's Finding Nemo, followed by Monster's Inc.. Love them both. Kids play a big role in both movies.

But that doesn't make them kidflicks. The tone is good in both films for both kiddies and adults. The same cannot be said, imo, for It's a Bug's Life, which slimes the bottom of my Pixar barrell. Strictly for the kidlets, though I did not find it without any charm whatsoever.

It remains the only Pixar film I've seen only once. I've watched the others about a dozen times each.

For me:

Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Toy Story 2
Monsters Inc.
A Bug's Life
Toy Story

Count me in as someone who does not like their trailers.

For me it would have to be:

Monsters Inc. tied with The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Toy Story 2
Toy Story
A Bug's Life (could not finish it)
