Actually it really is for my health, my high cholesterol. I used to not like wine at all, but I've grown to like a nice merlot. I usually pick whatever mid-priced bottle of wine has the biggest Vonsclub discount at the time. |
Someone else also decorated a Barbie doll with bay shrimp.....no one actually knew what shrimp on the barbie meant....so even though we had all heard of it.....for all we knew shrimp on the barbie could actually be a Barbie doll covered in bay shrimp. :confused:

I usually like Pinot over Merlot, but I still love a nive dry Cabernet to have with a steak - yum! Beaujolais is a nice change for a red wine, since it's the only one you can propperly chill, it's also usually best when fresh.
I'm also a sucker for Australian Shiraz and Italian Chiante. In any case I think the best part about wine drinking is the sampling and finding something you like - buying it till it's no longer available and starting the search agian. It's always fun to have a quest. I would also recommend that you see the film, Sideways. |
There's a 2 buck chuck Beaujolais that's quite tasty. It's usually not out with the end-of-the-aisle display, you have to go into the actual wine aisle to find it.
I forgot about shiraz, I've had quite a taste for those recently! |
Yeah, I've become a big shiraz fan, as well. There is a good two-buck chuck version that I'm quite fond of.
I generally prefer reds to whites though. |

I'm still a wine wuss, even after many years of training by GD. I still don't like really dry wines, although I have come to appreciate more middle ground flavors. I always mix up the names, so I go the feminine route and let Greg order for me. :blush: Pino Grigio is my fave, I think.

Yes, you do like Pinot Grigio (and let me take this opportunity to smack myself for calling Grigio red, and Noir white. Strike that, reverse it).
