My BIL is an engineer and he's got some pretty horrific war stories to tell- if his train had hit that car, there would be no survivors. (He hauls freight, and some of his trains are very, very long ones that take miles to bring to a stop).

I gasped out loud when I saw this thread title (but anything relating to trains hitting people freaks me out a bit after certain events that happened in my life a few months ago.)

I'm quite relieved to know that you are ok and home safe.
