I second the certified grower.

Maybe you can bring some things from Trader Joes as well?

You cannot bring in Potatos or Tomatoes because of a quarentine due to potato blight.

Pre-packaged food is fine to travel with (I regularly travel with TJ's goodies to foreign countries). I see no limits on other produce listed anywhere. The best place to call would be the airline.

OK, but it REALLY helps to have the pointy-metal-shoes. We got a good laugh watching some folks attempt to walk the glacier in just their hiking boots. :D

The 26 glacier cruise leaves from Whittier (where the princess boats also dock). To get there you have to use the tunnel. The tunnel is a one way at a time deal. I think traffic flows out on the hour and in at the half or some variation of that. You just need to plan so you don't miss the boat, or you can book the bus/train from anchorage which the glacier cruise line runs (probably cheaper than driving yourself, the tunnel ain't cheap).
