Do the lawyers still let them sell slip'n'slides? Ever slid down one where it had been laid over a metal sprinker head? ouch...

I'm thinking we should maybe have a Toys that Kill Picnic somewhere

I remember when I grew too large for the Slip 'n Slide. You know you're too big when you run, throw yourself down, and you land face first in the mud at the end of the yellow plastic.

We went through three of those things in various incarnations, as well as two of those clown hat things (no pics on the net!), at least 5 wading pools, one awesome soaker hose turned up to full blast, and I'm sure a million other watery toys I can't remember.

Ah yes, the infamous water wiggle, another candidate for the Toys that Kill picnic.

I had a toy that was probably 2 ft. tall, was yellow and I think was supposed to be a bug. You attached the hose to it and water came out of all sorts of "antenna" that were attached to its head. I think he was wearing a baseball hat too. I swear his name was Water Willie. But I can't be sure if that was the official name or the name I gave it.

I find it interesting that the Water Wiggle was discontinued in 1978, yet me and CP (at least) had one, and well, in 1978 we were 1. I clearly remember mine being brand new, and I was old enough to remember that.

hmm... a google search for "Water Willie" brings up lots of items, but none of them match your description. In fact most of the links weren't work safe
