Yeah, after the big fanfare of the merch line (which was wonderfully and perversely derided by most of us with glee), I have not seen so much as a knick-knack.

Tink with a voice?

I'm speechless.

The best part about the Tinkerbell character in the film 'Peter Pan' was that she didn't talk. The animators had to convey what she was thinking or feeling through their drawings without the aid of her saying something. I always found that to be a brilliant element in the film itself.

Now Luann from 'King of the Hill' is going to be her voice. I just don't know. It may work, but I'm thinking it most likely won't. Maybe Murphy could revisit her character from 'Clueless' for inspiration for the voice. :D

"Cher, I don't want to do this anymore. And my buns: they don't feel nothin' like steel."

Yes, but this way you can save on expensive artists costs and just explain emotions instead of display them

Totally.

Why not give the carpet from 'Aladdin', Dumbo, Dopey and Pluto voices as well? Dumbo voiced by Harvey Fierstein, Pluto should sound like Tom Bodett, Ben Stein as the carpet and Dopey should be voiced by Keanu.
:D

Two in the Tink, singular
stink...sweet silence lost.

So, now she can be "PERFECT", "SPOILED", "SASSY" and have "ATTITUDE" using words as well as actions?

Not Afraid 06-21-2006 10:19 PM

Picture Tink, as voiced by Phil Hartman, saying SASSY!

CoasterMatt 06-21-2006 10:41 PM

Or better yet, Tink voiced by Lou Hirsch (Baby Herman) :D

I liked Julia's portrayal of Tink in Hook. But it was a completly different character IMHO. The book that this film is based on did fairly well, but if they thought the film would do great it wouldn't be coming out on video. Therefore my guess is it's aimed at the toddlers, and won't be much value to the adults. Good for them, not much more than internet fodder for us. Oh well......

And in the House of Mouse Christmas special where the whole group of every Disney Character ever drawn sings at the end...... There it is..... yes it's..... DOPEY!! singing along!!! Sure, he could be lip sinking. But why would he??? Or purhaps in Snow White he only played dumb (In the House of Mouse they all play actors enjoying a meal together and a show). I'm not sure if it was justifyed by the artists that way, or a mistake. But it seems wrong in many ways. Just like a cartoon Tink talking.
