How long does the DLP Halloween celebration usually last? Do they set up their Christmas decorations later in Nov. than DLR does?

Halloween at DLP goes till Nov. 1. I'm not sure when they put up Christmas, but that would give them enough time to do the proper thing and set up no earlier than Thanksgiving.

(of course, there's no such thing as Thanksgiving in Europe ... but, well ... till DLP "invented" it, there really wasn't much Halloween there either)

Christmas appears very soon after Halloween ends. As a matter of fact, when we were there, they already had the princess chandeliers on the Main Street lamp posts, waiting to be turned on for Christmas.

When does the Halloween decor start?

That's truly horrifying. :D

I find it kind of funny that one of the highlights of their Halloween shenanigans is to highlight one face character that is going to be added to the ToT. I'm not sure that will be a hug draw to the ride. Unless she's hot or something...

I read it as they're going to have a full lobby staff. I hope they do, it's such a detailed lobby I always thought it a shame they didn't have characters there.

Across the Disneyland Resort esplanade, Guests to Disney’s California Adventure park will instantly be immersed in the spirit of Halloween fun as they encounter the iconic 11 foot tall “CALIFORNIA” entranceway letters - - now seemingly made from giant pieces of candy corn.
The candy-cane look of the CALIFORNIA letters looked great during the Christmas season, so I'm hoping the candy-corn design will look just as pleasing. Mmmm... candy corn! :D

That press release doesn't mention it, but Mickey's Halloween Treat is returning to Disney's California Adventure for the second year. Hooray!

this sounds promising :) changing tower's main drop profile or adding the random ones like florida's would be way cooler than a maid though... just something to mix it up a bit... and what exactly is a maid going to do? clean up the lobby that is supposed to look dusty?
