 Alex Stroup shed some scientific light on that please! That was so freaky!

On a side note, if I were dismembered, I would be crawling towards my legs, not away. And then I would sue.

ETA: Oh yes, video editing! Haha, of course!

*snicker* that was too cool.

I'm no expert on how magic tricks are done. But the second woman was obviously a plant (if not the entire crowd) and her skirt conveniently hid the area underneath the bench.

It also causes me to wonder how much a double amputee makes being used in a magic show.

If it was done in front of a mostly unstaged crowd, I would be interested to see how the reattchment was handled.

The use of amputees in magic goes back way before vaudeville. This seems like a great opportunity to tell anyone who hasn't done so to check out Tod Browning's classic movie FREAKS. (related by only the faintest of tangents, I know, but damn I love tha tmovie.)

He actually spells it Criss.

As far as I know, Angel's tv shows are almost never shot in front of non-actors. I'd go as far as saying that I believe that there's some major editing while they switch the woman who walks up to the bench with the women who are split in two. Still a neat effect on video, though.
