Wish I could have gone, San Diego sucks.

I wish they would do these things a few months before the DVD release, so they can tape it and actually include it on the DVD. Maybe in ten more years, there'll be an ultra-platinum edition with the panel as an extra feature...

Super OC jealousy on my end, but I'm glad y'all had fun.

Hey! You live by Disneyland. I live by the El Cap. I don't think that's at all comparable! (Except maybe on nights like last night.)

Thanks for the reports. When I saw the panel attendees, I knew it was going to be cool, coupled with having seen other panel discussions. I wish it had been timed differently so we could have made it, but glad y'all had fun.

Now, to ask my loves-Little-Mermaid friend if she wants to know what she missed since she and I were at the same concert last night...

Oh, I'd been invited, I just thought it was a different crowd. I think my evening ended up creating more long-term value, but if I'd known the LB was representing, I might have made the less necessary choice.

I love talking in vaguelish.

iSm, are you sure it is an academy qualifying run? I thought it had to run for at least a week in both LA and New York to qualify? I asked the woman who introduced the program last night about Little Matchstick Girl and she said it was being shown last night only and not for the whole 10-day run of The Little Mermaid.

But maybe the rules are different for animated shorts (or I'm just misremembering them).

Yes, the panel discussion would be a great addition to the DVD.

I am so sad I missed it. The Little Mermaid is my favorite. There was no way I would have stayed awake since yesterday was my first day with the kiddies and had been less than 36 hours after returning from South America. :(

IsM really hit it right on. An amazing night.

Surely one of my all time fav's looked great (except for the "edit") and sounded wonderful. Seeing it with a crowd that overwhelmingly appreciated the experiance made it all a complete package. THE best screening I've ever been too.

I wanna go again!!!

Alex, no I'm not positive about that fact .... I got it from a certain wellish-known internet 'journalist,' but I didn't see it mentioned in their piece about the event (though, it's obviously sort of off topic).
