I've finally gotten around to reading this book as well, and while I liked it I was a little less impressed than I thought I would be. I didn't come away with any of the sort of philosophical musings that 'Windup Bird' inspired- it just seemed like a casual read, something like the literary equivelant of a made-for-tv movie. I also think perhaps I've spent too much time on sci-fi books and movies; I kept thinking that the author was breaking all the commonly held ideas with regards to a space-time continuem. Still, it was moderately entertaining and there were some good moments, but not enough to totally wow me. I did like the Travelers taste in music, though.
